I bought the boat last year and figured that I can bring an un-inflated tube along and just use the 12V power port to use my small car/shop vac to blow it up. It didn't work.
So I get home to look, the best that I could, to see what was wrong. The entire port is just hanging inside of the boat, but I can't get to it. The dealer servicing my boat said that it would cost $125 to replace it.
I really don't think that anything needs to be replaced. I just need to be able to get in there and figure out how to get it to stay where it is supposed to. Maybe even solder it in, but I can't figure out how to get to it.
Where can I find out exactly how to disassemble the housing right in front of the steering wheel? I can see it, but I can't reach it to fix.
Anyone have a service manual for this sort of thing?

It's been awhile since I was around your model boat but can't you open the storage hatch, remove the ice bucket and see the issue you're dealing with? I apologize in advance if I've confused your model with another one/

Yes. That is how I saw the problem, but it is too far down and my fingers are too fat to be able to do anything to it without removing the entire top. The 12V port is way down the left hand side of the enclosure. I'm sorry, I am really a novice when it comes to boats, so I don't know exactly what it is called that I need to remove. I would take a pic, but it is being serviced to get ready to hit the water next week.

Because I don't know much about boats, I would really like to get a book or something telling me, "This part of the boat is called blah blah blah." and have an arrow pointing to it. I hate going to the dealer and being completely oblivious as to what they are talking about.
Last year I had to get the wear-ring and the impeller replaced and someone was talking about the hole-shot. I had to google that just to figure out what he was talking about.
I really need to know more to be able to talk about and ask questions about my boat. The more I know, the easier it would be for me to figure out what to do.
