Hello all,
Finally gonna buy and pick up a 99 Challenger 1800 in a couple of weeks. However I still need a hitch on my truck, I've heard Reese is a good brand but when I look at for example www.hitchanything.com I can see that Reese is not the cheapest of them all... I think I'm capable myself to install it easily so If a cheaper brand is harder to install it doesn't matter. Any of you guys use cheaper branded hitches?
Thanks!
What is a good Hitch brand

Draw-tite, Fulton, and Curt are also good brands. You may also want to try U-haul if you have one convenient to your location, they tend to make a good hitch at a decent price. Keep us posted.

The recommendations above are very good. An F150/250 should not require drilling as the holes for the factory installed receiver should be there.
http://www.etrailer.com/ These folks have options from the major manufacturers with great online support. They can make some suggestions for your model truck on both the hitch and the wiring harness.
Tip#1 get matching locks/keys for your tongue lock and hitch lock for your boat. It saves some time on locking up these two items which you will want to do every time.
Good luck!
PS: If you are not a mail order guy, your local U-haul does a great job at a fair price on hitches and harnesses. They are overlooked often, but install more hitches than you can imagine.
