I was told by my dealer u need an Amp to power them. I did notice wires inside the tower behind the little black plug 2/3 of way up the tower. I spoke to a seperate stereo dealer who told me he could upgrade the 4 existing speakers, add the 2 towers & the amp installed for about $1500. Much better sound apparently. Did u get yours working?

For 1500$, I say go for it. I just installed a pair on the tower. 600$ for the speakers & 150$ for the amp. Add your 4 speakers + labor and it's a good deal. It took me over 2 hours just to wire the tower to the radio. The new wires (the tower is not pre-wired) need to come down on the right side, through the tower base and inside the boat. Making it to the radio is also not so easy. Anyhow, it is done, looks and sound great.

- I am going with a set of Aerial FreeRide Twin Polk Speakers 6 1/2" coaxial mid/woofer
3/4" soft dome tweeter
Nominal Impedance: 4 ohms
Frequency Response 35-22kHz
Power Handling (continuous) : 60w
Power Handling (peak): 180w
Efficiency: 92dB - with a Sony XM-604M 4/3 channel marine amplifier Marine amplifier delivers 110 W x 4 (at 4 ohms), 150 W x 2 (at 2 ohms), 300 W x 1 (BTL, at 4 ohms)
- and a Bazooka MBTA10250D Marine 10IN 250W Class D Amplified Tube
- Hoping this will make my 210 SP one of the loudest boats on the gulf in SWF
