Hey guys,
Does my 2009 C180 SE with 255 hp engine have an oil resevoir on the jet pump that needs to be drained and refilled each year? Owners manual doesn't seem to say much about it. Or could it be just a grease zert on the drive shaft? I can't find a thing in that small engine compartment. I know the pump need lubrication, just not sure how it gets it. If someone can tell me what to use and where to find it on the jet drive I would sure appreciate it.

I'm sure that there is grease in the jet pump, not oil. Older model pumps had oil. Most people recommend that the impeller cover be taken off and checked for water leakage before storage. Not sure how often to change the grease. 23ml (0.8 U.S. oz) of JET PUMP BEARING GREASE (BRP P/N 293 550 032) is required and is placed inside the cover before reinstalling.
To access the grease you have to remove the 3 retaining screws from the impeller cover. No grease zerts. The screws should be tightened to 7.5 Nm.
If the cover is removed and reinstalled a leak test should be performed. This involves a vacuum/pressure pump and pressure cap both available from BRP.
Hope this helps

Thanks for that info. Wow, sounds like a good job for the dealer to perform, not me. Thanks again,
