Hi all. I'm new to the site here but thinking of purchasing a 2012 Challenger 180 SE. I've heard some horror stories about the intake getting clogged on jetboats in general. I'm sure this has improved with time. Anyone have experience in grassy areas with this particular jetboat? Thanks!

I think the c180 will be less likely to clog than the twin models. Generally the hull will push floating stuff away from the intake. I've only once ingested a piece of wood, and that occurred in less than two feet of water. I do suck up a bit of weed,'and jellys every so often but the impeller will chew it up with barely a hiccup and I run my boat in very shallow waters( less than 1m) more often than I would like. Just try to avoid things floating on the surface and very shallow water at very slow speeds and you'll be fine.
