Hi there, just before winterizing, i have done a rebuild of one of the engine, now i can't starter it, the starter seem to not being able to stay on the flywheel side to make it turn... i know it's turn but it's not extended to touch the flywheels, now i have removed it to see what wrong with it, and it's a 8 spline starter... I think the rebuild guy give me the wrong one, isnt it's suposed to be 9 spline when it's a 1999 1800 challenger with twin 787 engine?
if yeah, it's could be my probleme, it touching the flywheels for 2-3 teeth and after this is turn over but doesnt touch anything?
Or i only get a faulty starter that need new brush to have more strenght keeping it extended ?

Just found that some 99-02 seem to have 8 tooth! But i was thinking that they were all RFI engine.
so in 99 it's seem to have both model !

problem solved...
Wrong starter was put on the rebuild engine! a 8tooth insted of the 9 tooth.
