You got me on that one...You will be glad you did get the extra warranty. What exactly are the "certain conditions of, and exclusions to" the warranty they mention?

I believe the two extra years is engine /drive only and exclusions are standard weasle clause exceptions for all damages beyond manufacturers responsibility!
Good luck in trying to get that defined, I tried-gave up and said Sign me up anyways!

When I bought my used Speedster, I paid almost $100 to transfer the 5 year extended warranty...just try to collect! When a tine broke on the hydrosurge grate..."that's not covered"; and because that's not covered, any ancillary damage that it might have caused (like the impeller) would, therefore, also not be covered.
In other words, any damage caused by the failure of an uncovered part is also not covered even if it subsequently damages a covered part!

Which, in a nutshell, means just about anything. I still cannot believe that no one has admitted fault with the Hydrosuck issue. I could see it being a non warranty part if you, say, sucked a Pontiac through there.......Well guys, I hope they're throwing it in for nothing 'cause that's what it's worth!

At the end of the day, I figure it gives me some piece of mind for additional coverage for major malfunction in motor ( and in my case TWO MOTORS!)

I hope Sea-doo is as great as Ski-doo, no doubt it is!

I have found that my loyalty to my dealer over the years is what pays off. The consumer that moves around year after year to save a couple hundred bucks on a total trade/purchase deal will not get the payback that the loyality will.You are absolutely correct! Get a dealer that will back you up. I have one. My Sportster 4-tec totaly blew the motor shortly after break-in (in '03). I had a new motor installed and running 10 days after I dropped it off. Sea-Doo wanted to fix the motor, I said no and the dealer backed me up. Water had been injested through the bottom oil drain and I did not want to take any chances. I know I probably paid an extra couple of hundred bucks by not shopping around for my new Speedster 200, but I think it's worth sticking with a dealer you know!I have found that my loyalty to my dealer over the years is what pays off. Unfortunately, the original purchaser of my Speedster bought the extended warranty from the dealer that sold him the Speedster. Like many extended warranties, they have absolutely nothing to do with either Bomber or Merc. They're, in effect, a type of insurance company that insures you against things that go wrong after the manufacturer's warranty expires. The grate has been the only malfunction since I purchased the boat in October 2002 hence, my only experience with them. If the extended warranty is from Bomber, I'm sure you'll be treated better than I was.I have bought ten snowmobiles from BRP over the years and it all comes down to your dealer and their interpretation of WARRANTY CLAIMS on our behalf.
