My 2001 Utopia has been at the dealer for almost 6 months. The engine is the 240 EFI. Problems began the minute I put it on the water after the first service. The dealer had me disconnect the battery for 15 mins to reset. That seemed to work, but power was not the same.
The next time on the water I noticed power wasn't good, and when in no wake zone and trying to manuever in and around the marina, the engine would cut out.
The dealer has not been able to figure out the problem. They've also called in a tech from Mercury--who can't seem to figure it out.
I've had the boat on the water all of a hand-full of times. I'm frustrated and want a new boat.
Anybody out there have any similar problems? Any luck getting a new boat?

Thanks for your reply.Have you tried contacting anyone at BRP about your problems?
Yes, BRP has been informed and they say it's a Mercury issue--not a BRP issue. No help from them.

Well that is a step towards the positive, I am glad to see that Mercury is taking the initiative to try to resolve the problem. Was the problem really SeaDoos fault or has it been proved the problem resides with Mercury's engine only?
