Hey guys, im a newie here! Glad to be part of this forum! I am very interested in getting a Sea Doo but have No idea what to get. Money is low so my price range is going to be around $2000. I want to be able to pull skiers and tubes, but i just dont know anything about these aweome machines!
My Question is:
1) What Doo can be fun for me alone and also for those days pulling skiers and tubes, for around $2000?

First off welcome to the site! For $2000 I would see if you can find a decent 95 Speedster, I believe that would to the trick.

Hay Adam, welcome yes to the best jet boat site around. Good job finding us. Wow, $2000 doesn't sound like enough to get you what you want. But maybe you will get lucky. I just found this on ebay you may want to watch and see where it goes. http://cgi.ebay.com/...item=2455442895
I thought the '95's were twin 80 h/p and then in '96 they bumped them up to 85? What's this about removing the oil injection system and using pre-mix? I never heard of that one before. Look at the picture of the back of the boat. Looks like he has been mixing too much oil then if that's the case. Also, he says it idles "high". Well, so does mine when started on the trailer. Once in the water they idle fine. I put this boat in my "watch" folder to see how it does. I wonder what his reserve is?

That '85 brought $3650. This one's gotta go for way more. What does he mean the pumps need service? Wear ring? What else is there to service?

Can anyone tell me the difference between the 98 and the 99 Speedster? Aside from the year, which one is the better boat?
Thanks,
Z

Mostly the same boat but I hear the 98's had hull cracking problems that were fixed in the 99 model year. I doo like the color combo of the 98.....Can anyone tell me the difference between the 98 and the 99 Speedster? Aside from the year, which one is the better boat?
Thanks,
Z
