Hello i'm new here so i would like to thank everyone for all the knowledge i hope to gain.

I am new to jet boating (but not to boating) I have just purchased a 2000 Challenger 1800 in good shape and running order. While cleaning up before the winter storage i noticed that the max engine capacity is 165kw (224 hp ish) but the engine in the boat is the 240efi. Wondering if anyone else has seen this before. When enquiring at dealer for some mantaince parts dealer seemed to feel the 1800 only came with the 220 for the year 2000. But i have seen several with the 240efi. wndering if this boat is us model or something like that as i am in Ontario.
Any insight on this would be great.
P.s there are no signs that the boat has been re powered all looks original. Last three of the hull number is 000 and it begings with US.
