210 Wake HP vs. Yami 212x HP

I'm a bit conflicted as I much prefer the Sea Doo features, design, layout, etc. But, the dealer network in my next of the woods (Cincinnati OH) is nonexistent.
Having said that, I'm curious. Can anyone explain to a newbie why the 212x top speed with 360 HP is pretty much the same as the Sea Doo with 430HP?
As a new boater, I favor reliability, but want to have enough umph to ensure when the kids get older (currently 9 and 10) and bring some friends on the boat it can still pull effectively. Will the 310HP Sea Doo have the umph? We'd like to be able to tube, ski, and wakeboard.
Finally, anyone know a good Sea Doo dealer in the Cincinnati area? I think if it's within about an hour it's still doable.
Thanks!

I'm in the Cincinnati area as at least one other on the board. There are 2 fairly close dealers, Pleasant Valley Marine in Florence, and another in Columbus. I actually went to PowerSports360 in Port Clinton to get mine. I wish I had had a little more time when I picked it up, as they offered to take my out on it, but they did take nearly an hour showing me all the features and explaining everything. And funny enough, a guy I worked with got his Yamaha the next day from them. Another guy I houseboat with from Cincinnati also got his Yamaha from someone up north.
I haven't been down to Pleasant Valley since spring, so I am not sure what they have in stock, but I have been happy with their service so far
I have also seen as many Sea-Doo as Yamaha on Caesar Creek Lake where I normally boat. Of course, I went with a 180 as it would fit in the garage and was big enough for me, my daughter and friends.

That's great to hear! I don't mind picking mine up rather far away, I've been worried about maintenance work. Have you had any issues so far?
Also, I plan to primarily boat on Caesar's Creek too! Should I worry about the nonexistent clean out ports on Sea Doos as Brento mentions? Have you had the 'opportunity' to hop in, hold your breadth and clean out? I also wonder how good/or not the 2012 Weedless gate system is.
Thanks!

I also picked up a rock in the impeller in late October just as I hit 10 hours. The water was getting chilly by then But again Pleasant Valley removed it, checked the ring and filed down the small chips in the impeller.
Haven't had any other problems. Except for all the sticks this spring from the flooding, the lake is pretty free from obstructions, except for a couple spots. But you'll see them without any problem as they are in no wake zones.
