Question about a one way valve

Inside the 97 speedster cockpit, right under the drivers seat there is an opening that has a tube attached that runs through the engine compartment and to the outside for drainage. It this supposed to have a one way valve attached to it? Mine is wide open and lets water rush into the cockpit when we come to a stop.
I was thinking there might be a one way rubber flap there or something but cant find one listed on the Worldpfpowersports.com parts breakdown.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The scupper Kit Part # is 295500637, and this is supposed to be a supercedure for the original part. The original, I think has been discontinued. There is also a campaign for these scuppers, whereas your dealer can replace it free. Contact a dealer and have your HIN available- they can tell you what campaigns there are for your particular boat.

Thanks for all your help Tiggerman, I did like you said and checked with the Dealership and there was a freee campaign update for the scupper, but there was also a 3 week waiting period for the work to be done!!There should be a one way valve at the transom for your deck drain, and is referred to as a "scupper" valve.

So instead of waiting I went to worldofpowersports.com and ordered the Scupper kit (using your part number) and it will be here by DHL this Friday for just under $40.00 USD!
I really am Thankful for all your help and this wonderfull forum!

For you? Not a problem! As soon as I get it Ill snap off a few pics of it and where it goes too. Then a few after install! Anything I can do to help out!Good deal! I would like a pic of the kit before and after installation, if it's not too much trouble.

There were two others campaigns he mentioned but didnt have time to go into detail over the phone. Once winter gets here (okay its not really winter in Florida) Ill bring it in and have it all taken care of. The owner before me had 3 or 4 campaigns done to her before I took possession.Sweet! Were there any other open campaigns on your boat that the dealer mentioned?
