2010 2010 SP, SKI MODE

I just took out my new 2010 Sea Doo 210 Wake for one of the first times. The ski mode doesn't seem to work. When we set it and put the throttle to full speed, it just goes really slow. Does anyone know why it does that? I wonder if it's something wrong or if we are doing something wrong, but we read the manual and did everything it said to do.
Also, when filling up the ballast tank, it leaks right around the clamp area of the white pipe above the drain. It doesn't leak too bad but just enough for some dripping once the tank is getting fuller.
The stereo seems to power off and power back on when we are going full speed and a little bumpy. The thing about the stereo I don't like is when you turn the power off, it resets the volume so you have to turn it up to where you want it every time.
Has any of the above mentioned issues happened with anyone else?

Our ballast also leaks the same way.
We have these issues to be addressed during the off season on our boat after Labor Day. I would suggest getting your boat in there too to get the issues worked while the boat is still under warranty.
Keep us posted.

I am on a "break" right now from using my boat and I am getting it looked at after I visit HydroTurf next week.

I had the exact same problem with my Ski Mode and Eco Mode when I first received my new 2010 210 Challenger SE with 430 hp twin Rotax from the dealer - the throttle adjustment was such that pushing to full throttle in Ski Mode did not engage the "ramping up" as if the throttle would not go down far enough. When not using the Intelligent Throttle Control at all the throttle would work totally normally. Also, the Eco Mode would never engage and actually control the speed - which should be around 30-35 mph at full throttle when it is picking the best speed for fuel economy - it would just throttle all the way up as if there was no Eco Mode. Also, my Cruise Mode would always give the message "Cannot Engage". So essentially all of the ITC did not work. I brought it back and explained all this to the dealer and within a week I got the boat back with everything working perfectly. I think it is an adjustment that is made in the throttle mechanism itself. Luckily I first took delivery of my boat in March when it was too cold around here (NH) to do much regular boating so it was easier to leave it at the dealer for a week without missing it much. We then proceeded to have an awesome summer of boating with NO further problems. I'm sure yours will be an easy fix also and it's just an adjustment problem. My top speed this summer has been essentially right at the published estimated max - I've gone 53.9 mph (on my separate GPS that measures to tenths of a mph - the boat GPS speedometer said 53).
Good to know! Thank you.

They gauges weren't working 100% which is what was causing the ski mode to not work. It only engages when the speedometer gets to a certain speed.
Have you guys had issues with the ballast tank filling up on it's own? Has anyone had issues with the bimini breaking? There's this plastic piece that is very fragile I guess and it keeps breaking.

Yes, ours does the same thing and it is extremely frustrating! I have spoken to BRP directly about this issue, for now we just have the manual shut-off valve closed until we are ready to fill it. Not the most optimal solution, but this is what we have been told. There is supposed to be a check valve on the pump that would prevent the water from filling the bag even when the shut-off valve is open. It is apparent there is not check valve since the water enters freely, in reality this should be doing its job and only be open when the pump is engaged pumping water in to the bag.Have you guys had issues with the ballast tank filling up on it's own? Has anyone had issues with the bimini breaking?
We have plans to take ours to our local dealer during the off-season and have a check valve installed properly to eliminate this issue at the BRP's expense.

I have given up on my ski mode...in fact any mode. I have a 2010, 210 SE and I can get into the menu, but the select button doesn't work. Dealer has replaced buttons and harness. It will work for a couple of days and then stops. Got to love it.
