Just bought my 97 Speedster on ebay and everything works great! I just have a question about whether or not there's an altenator that charges the battery or do I have to recharge the battery if it runs low. I wanted to know because I was thinking of adding some electrical items. Also if anyone had some good sites where I can buy parts, stickers and just random add-ons and replacment items for this boat please let me know!
Oh and sorry for such noobie questions!

Welcome ooramieloo !
In answer to your questions:
You have 2 alternators, which should keep you charged and ready to go. As with most boats, if it is going to sit for an extended period, it wouldn't hurt to get a "trickle" charger to maintain it. Otherwise, if you use it regularly, it should stay charged. When it is time for winter storage, it wouldn't hurt to remove the battery and store it somewhere warm and dry. If you are adding alot of electrical load, you may want to look into adding a second battery.
Your best choice for parts and accessories will probably be:
http://www.worldofpowersports.com , plus we have a dealer or 2 here who can probably get you what you want. Congrats on your DOO acquisition!

You won't see them unless you have the front cover removed from the engine, where you can access the magneto. They aren't like normal automotive alternators, but they doo keep ya charged. Thanks for your help Tiggerman! Also this is actually my second Doo, my wife and I are the pround owners of a 04 GTX 4-Tec Wakeboard edition Jet Ski. But after buying the Jetski we ran into the problem of having three teenage girls with alot of friends (boys) that wanted to go Doo'in with us and we just didnt have enough room. So I went on Ebay looking to buy a second Jet ski but ended up seeing the ad for the 97 speedster. I paid 6k for it but it was worth it seeing as the engines were in perfect shape (had the whole boat gone over before purchase) and all the seats looked brand new. I know its a bit more than most but it really is in great shape, I did remove some of the stickers cause they were faded thats why I was looking for replacement decals.
But hey thanks again for your help!
