I am going to be researching pole holders and ways to attach the holder to the tower without any permanent modifications and easy on/off capabilities.

I did my first fishing trip and I have an idea to attach some pole holders to the wake tower. This thread will help result in the evolution of this idea.

I am very interested in what you come up with. We use our SeaDoo on the river for catfishing. It's sort of redneck, and our boat is overkill, but it is a blast on the river and very safe.
I have designed a rod holder for the sundeck to hold 4 cat rods. We could use a couple more on the tower as we are allowed 2 rods each. Catfishing is not finesse fishing either. Baited lines sit on reels with bait clickers engaged just waiting for some of the biggest channel cats in the region!
Keep us in the loop!!

I love your setup! Never nice job.
Catfish is good eating! And using you Sea Doo for catfishing is not Redneck! You are doing it right.
Please share more of your fishing adventures under this section of SDSB.
I was also looking at using a similar rod holder:
I am looking for Roll Bar Mounts, similiar to the Go Pro Mount to attach the rod holder to the Wake Tower:

I would hate to lose a cup holder for a rod, but that's usually why I need the rod holder, is to enjoy a beverage (smile) I may check into it.
I may also check into some cheaper clamps for my tower off of Ebay similar to those holding my tower speakers on. They may be a great option too.
The rod holder I made, I wanted something that was not permanent, but would function as if it was mounted that way. The flat 1x6 with neoprene padding on it, sits on the sundeck really well. The u-bolts mounted to the pull-up ski pylon are just enough to make it very solid. It just has to keep it from sliding more or less.
I have four videos online before the rod holders. The last video shows my previous model 4-rod holder. I mounted them to a load holding rachet bar. This worked, but marred the fiberglass. I have yet to put the one up from this last trip. I hope to get out Sunday as we have very few days left before winterization. 30 degree nights are here!
Enjoy
