I need help finding a left side inlet grate for my 1996 Speedster. My local dealer tells me the part is obsolete. Part # is 271000629. Does anyone know if this grate is specific to a 96 or can I use one off another year?
Any and all help is appreciated.

I just called. Part is obsolete. Anybody know of any salvage yards that may have this part? In the meantime I will keep watching eBay.

Perry Performance did not have it but did give me the # to MM Marine in California. I am going to send him a picture of the right side grate and email to him for reference. I will keep you posted.

You can use a 1997 or 1998 grate. Look carefully at the point where is broke. You may also need the flange that mount / screws in to the hull.
