Hello everyone!! Have a 1997 Challenger 1800 with twin 110hp rotax. Boat loads of fun this summer but suffered a blow to the right reverse gate doing a sub move. I guess they can break when u do this a few times!! My problem is since the boat is an older model the part numbers have changed and i want to make sure i get the correct parts to avoid any more down time. What i need is the right hand reverse gate #204170037/204170149 and the reverse gate support #204170013. I read somewhere on here that part #204170015 is an exact match for the gate support, but I'm trying to figure out what make/model doo this part goes to. Any assistance with these issues would be greatly appreciated!!

New to forum n love it! Reverse gate broken:(

I also broke a set of the brackets and buckets last year doing subs. I could not find a parts interchange anywhere. The buckets are very common across a lot of PWC and boat models. If you go to one of the parts sites and go through the various years you can usually tell by the drawings if it looks right. The only modification was drilling the holes to mount the cross bar. I removed the block off plates. Straight back reverse is slower but turning left/right in reverse is much quicker response. Subs are slower but still easy to do.
The bracket was harder to find. There are differences that are hard to see in a picture. All the parts places were out of stock so the only choice was Ebay. I got a bracket and bucket from a 96-97 GTX/GTS 3 person watercraft. PWC parts are more common than boat parts, and they are the same, if you can match them up.
The numbers on the bracket are 204170013, 271000626 and 271000484. My manual lists the 013 number and the one I bought had an arrow pointed to the 626. The only difference was the reverse hook was metal instead of plastic. I left the metal one in place. Everything else bolted on with no problem.

There are a lot listed right now. The brackets are hard to tell apart in the pictures so if you can get a number you'll have better luck getting the right one.
Don't let a few broken parts stop you from doing subs. They are just too much fun!
