Hello all, Glad to be a new member. I just bought a 1996 challenger with 1800 cc engine. It will start and run real easily. But it won't accelerate or rev up and backfires and carries on. someone said something about changing some kind of seal or orings every three years. Said if I changed them it would take care of my problem. Does anyone know what he was talking about?

Welcome to the website. It could be a variety of things so it would be a good idea to have a mechanic inspect the engine to see what all might be going on. Keep us posted.
