I'm hoping that someone can give me some advice. I have a 2005 C180 SCIC and it has run great for me, but yesterday, it gave me a bunch of trouble. It started out fine during the day, then I would be on plane pulling tubes when it would bog down, pretty much to idle. If I let it run at idle for a few minutes, I could accelerate again for a short time and then it would bog again. I changed plugs, but I still get the same symptoms.
I think it might be a gas problem as I used a gas can from a friend that I later found had a bunch of crap in it, including left over mineral spirits. Do these symptoms make sense for a fuel problem? Also, if anyone has suggestions on how to empty the tank, I would appreciate it. I know most pumps say not to use them for gasoline.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Brian

Yeah i highly recommend you empty the tank and use fresh gas. I would find a pump that is ok to use with gas. they sell a manually operated one at harbor freight for like 10 bucks. Get the tank as low as you can and add a full tank of good fuel.

RFoster,
Thanks for your reply. I pumped out as much gas as I could yesterday. Those cheap hand pumps really leak! I still smell like gasoline. I will fill up the boat today and take it out. I'm going to add some fuel injector cleaner to it as well, I figure it shouldn't hurt.
