Lost "Cushion Assy/Sundeck Center" while going at high speed

Today I was cruising around for a while at pretty high speed with our new Challenger 230 SE (2011). When I stopped and looked back a the stern I hat to realize: the sundeck center cusion on the top of the stern (the one that you can remove to walk through) was gone. I guess it must have been blown away by the wind
Several hours of searching on the lake but not luck - the thing is gone even though I guess it should float. Have to order a replacement part now for about 300 bucks.
Did anyone experience the same problem?

It was sitting in place and therefore must have been at least secured with the magnet. Probably not 100% properly seated in place, I cannot tell...We have not experienced this on our 210, was it secured to the magnet to your knowledge?
