I've tried using a plugged in spotlight while driving our boat at night but the 12v outlet doesnt seem to work. Is there a fuse for the 12v outlet, if so where can it be found?

It could be a wiring issue then, can you get to the wiring behind it to ensure it is properly connected?

I had the same problem on my boat.
The power for the outlet comes from one of the round plugs on the driver's side module. I could not manage to find out who makes the plug to get replacement pins, so I ran my own wiring back to a fuse panel I installed near the battery.
Later on, the wire for my bilge blower also broke, so I ran a new power wire from the new fuse panel up to the switch in the dash. Eventually, I won't need that module any more!

The fuse for this is under the dash. The fuse box on the 180 is mislabeled. To that end, on mine, the incorrect fuse was put in there. It should be a 20amp fuse. Then mine worked.
