Bought a 2008 challenger 180se about a month ago. Took out on the lake thought ran okay. Read on here that it should run near 8000 rpm mine didnt. Took back to the dealer had supercharger kit done with new washers, pulled the motor, cleaned out all fragments of the one washer that was missing. Replaced oil pump as well as there was a little scarring. Got boat back friday took to lake on sunday. Would not start. Read on my Iphone on the forumn in the parking lot about playing with the throttle cable that worked. Ran like great 7900 rpm and 58 mph never got above 37 before or 6400. Pulled into a cove did a little swimming, wouldnt start again. played with throttle again then started by idles rough and barely stays running. Gave a trouble code of 33 something cant remember think ended with a 9. Was able to put into forward and accelerate and all goes away, runs great again go back to the dock put on trailer. Get home start up again fires up first try but idle foes from 1100 to 2500. Sorry so long winded just trying to give all details. Any ideas. Dont really want to take back to dealer unless I have to. Also is it normal to run at full speed and go to no power and feel like the super charger or motor skips a little like a rough downshift on a tranmission on a car
just fixed supercharger

To me it sounds like you might of ingested something if you went from full speed to no power, have you looked inside the intake crate to see if there is anything in there? Also take a look from the pump looking in if you do not see anything via the grate.

Sorry the boat didnt lose power only when I power it down from full speed to full stop using throttle lever, then it kinda skips as its slowing down
