Hello All - so glad to find this forum!
I am purchasing a boat this next week or so. I've only seen pics online and plan on seeing it is person this week and talking to the salesman.
I'm seriously considering buying a 2010 180 Challenger, priced at $23,399. No rack included.
I am new to the boating world. Actually that's not completely true...I've been boating for over 3 years, but recently broke up with the man who owned the boat. I've decided boating is too much fun to have to depend on a man to get me to the lake....so I'm breaking out of my comfort zone and I am determined to learn how to back up trailers, and load and unload a boat on my own!
Can as many people as possible give me some advice about what I should ask about and consider BEFORE making a purchase? All I know it what looks good - the rest is beyond me. At this point I'm happy to know that the swimming platform will allow me to get on and off the boat without someone giving me a "boost"...and I will install a GPS on whatever I buy so that I won't get lost. HA!
Any pre-purchasing advice would be GREAT!
Oh...and here is the boat, if pics help.

Thanks!

I have the same boat but with the tower and the more powerful engine. I did a ton of research and comparisons, book reading forum reading and question asking and I think that I made a great choice.
Make sure that they offer you the newest extended warranty offer which I think is now up to 5 years.
When the time comes to get it wet, post the question about how to drive in the general section and you will get some really sound advise from the experianced guys.
Welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard! There have been many new boat owners the last couple of months. One that I have noticed is to make sure if you want the swing tongue trailer, make sure your boat has it before you sign...
Post some pics when you get a chance, and let us know where you do. We have a Locations tab where we are encouraging people let us know where they boat, their might be someone close if you have questions.
