Just like to say hello to anyone and new to boating. Bought a new 2010 Challenger 180 SE. Haven't had in the water yet so can't wait to start breaking her in.
My first question is once I reach the 10 hour break in period should I change the oil? If so what type of oil do you recommend? Where is the oil filter and is there a drain plug?.
Are there any excursions of trips with in the club? I was reading a post about a trip out of Miami to Bimini which sounded interesting but can't do this year to new to boating need more experience.
Breaking in the engine should I avoid full through throttle or is it okay to bring it up full throttle as I vary my speed?

Welcome aboard Rob! I am sure you will find answers to all your questions here. The first thing to say is your not the only one in the New Jersey/New York area. There are a few others.
Second thing I would say, is based on various posts about Sea-Doo and warranty, I would recommend having an authorized dealer to your 10 hour maintenance. They seem to be REAL sticklers about non-authorized mechanics doing work voiding the warranty. That, and there are a few other things they will do to make sure everything is working right. It is also I good time to have any outstanding service bulletins completed.
Have fun, and send some pics when you get her out!
