I will take delivery of a new 2011 210 Challenger this next week. It has arrived at the dealer and will be ready soon. Any advice or comments are appreciated. This is my first boat and I am ready to get it on the water.

Welcome aboard and welcome to the family! The manual should give a few tips - don't go full out till it has 10 hours, don't go for long periods of time at the same rpm, don't gun the engine. Kinda like the first 1000 miles on a car engine. Make sure all the hoses are on tight before you take delivery.

Other than that, the only thing "funny" I noticed about mine was after the first time out, it guzzled up the coolant. Dealer said it was nothing to worry about, I just topped off the overflow bottle and all has been great since.

If you have never driven a jet boat, try taking it out on a quiet day and getting the feel of low speed maneuvering. I found it a bit of a challenge at first.

Also, make sure a certified mechanic does all the work on your boat. Posts here indicate Sea-Doo is pretty sticky about that should any problems arise.

Thanks for the tips. I plan to take it out for an hour or so after I pick it up on Friday.

I got the black one. Yes, I got the additional 3 years of warranty. That is one of the reasons I bought it.

Congrats on the new 2011. Just took delivery of a new 2011 SP210 myself. Traded my 2005 Yamaha SX230 in for it. Interesting the post about coolant, because after getting mine back on the trailer after the 2nd trip (3 hrs on it), I noticed the collant recovery tanks were empty. Wasn't like that when I put it in, so need to get some tomorrow and top it off. Let us know how you're liking the jet boat experience, they rock over prop boats in every area except low speed control, unfortunatly. We love our SP, great boat with lots of tech.

We love it! I have taken it out 3 times so far and can't get enough of it. My coolant was a little lower after the first run, but there was still some in the reservoir. I am curious why you switched from a Yamaha to a Sea Doo. I looked at Yamahas, but the ski mode and the 4 year warranty got me to go with the sea doo.
