i have an 01 sportster le, i bought the boat last fall with a bad motor, i am now in the prosses of installing a new motor and while cleaning the engine compartment i noticed that i have water comming out both drain plugs in the back, but i also have water comming out of the speed sensor pickup, wondering if this is normal. thanks for the help in advance.

To my knowledge water should only being coming out of the drain plug holes when the plugs are removed. If you have water coming out of the speed sensor then this means water can get in while the boat is in the water. If everything is sealed you should have no water getting into the boat.

i did have the drain plugs open so and if i put them in they stoped draining, i am just concerned about the speed sensor more than anything.
