hi all. im a newbie from england. im picking my 1st ever boat up on friday. its a none runner and is going to be a nice project for me this year.
it has no engines and has been sat for some time.
i have the hin number but can understand what model it is. i can understand its a seadoo speedster as it says so but what model such as 14,150,200 etc etc.
struggling to find parts in the uk so can anyone suggest an engine/s replacement or a way of getting some rotex? also what rotex engines would have been in there? the owner purchased it as it is so knows the same as me.

That is either a '95 or '96 speedster, its 14.5 feet long so is a 150. You probably have twin 657x engines, 85 horsepower each. Hope this helps

thankyou. yes any info helps as with anything new i am not sure what the sayings are.
when theres parts listed on ebay and it says sp or gtx (example "switch sp,gtx,gt") does the sp refer to speedster or does it refer to an sp jetski?
yes the hin does show a 95 in it. doesnt help with anything else though.
it doesnt come with engines but if it had 657x do i have to replace them with 657x engines or is there something more reliable or easier to get hold of that can be easily converted?
sorry if you hear these silly questions all the time but im glad i found a forum dedicated to seadoo boats and not seadoo jetski's....took hours of searching to find this site

Im not sure about the 150 part, may be wrong there. The SP/ gtx etc. Is for a jetski. I think you can order new engines for approx. $1200 each. I have this exact same boat for sale right now, if you lived closer I would just sell it to you for parts!

massive shame about the distance and good luck with sale. thanks for clearing the sp gtx thing up. i can unwatch alot of things on ebay now. ha ha.

if i said it cost me around £900 / $1484.38 would you still say its alot of work?? just a question as im trying to convince myself and the mrs that ive done the right thing.

Is that for both engines or 1? May want to see if someone else replies, I think some of the older jetskis had the same engines, you may be able to find 2 of those for less$ and just use the engines.

Well, im selling mine for $2000 or so with both engines and it runs...but im sure there's a larger quantity of them here.

that is cheap!. i know there newer but a 1998 sells for £8500 / $14019.12 here even on ebay. why is everything soo much more over here grrr. and to top it off the boat price im paying is certainly something were going to notice this month and the next few.but hey im in the jet boat era

I would say find someone that can retrofit the engine out of the fine looking Ferrari in the background into it! That would be interesting!

Good call, yes it was!! One Crazy Summer, 1986! They retrofit an engine from a "Magnum" Ferrari into a sailboat for a race. Love Cusack movies! That was back when Demi was young-hot.

Try this link, if it is a 1995. The HIN tells you what year it is and you can call Sea-Doo they should help you on the exact model. I purchased service manuals from the same place as listed below and it has helped me out greatly. Good luck!
