Hi guys and gals, I was serving around and i stubbled apon this form. I have been looking for real reviews on sea-doo 2011 challenger 180 se as i just bought one. I have not yet been able to put it in the water cause it is still just the begining of spring it will be a few more weeks yet but soon.I have read a lot of forms from here and i am really excited to put it in the water. I have done a few stereo upgrades to the boat when i pull it out for the first time i will get some pics and post.

What sound system mods have you done?

Welcome Jordan. I have a new 2010 Challenger SE. There are probably a half dozen minor things about the boat which I think can be improved, but overall I LOVE the boat. It's amazingly fun, responsive, kids love it, fits in the garage and has been easy to do the little maintenance.

I think it could use a little more sound proofing, the anchor locker (under the bow filler cushion) could be more accessible, a support rod for the Bimini would be the things I would change. It also takes a lot of practice to maneuver around the docks.

Interesting post, Thanks for the review. I am new to the Challenger, what do you find difficult around the dock? Haven't had mine in the water yet so info is good.

Well, it has no rudder. So, no thrust = no steering. You have to learn to feather the gate in forward/neutral/reverse for any fine tuning during docking maneuvers. Takes practice, like feathering a clutch on a hill. I am glad I bought a couple of fenders and a boat hook until I got used to it. And the hook has come in handy to rescue hats and t-shirts.
