Challenger 210 trailer swing tongue

After I paid for it, I realized the trailer doesn't have a swing away tongue like SeaDoo advertises it has. This is a big problem (literally) for me as the boat won't fit in my garage without the swing tongue. I've been in unhappy discussions with BRP corporate and the dealer to get them to swap my trailer with the correct one, but have had no success. I really like the boat and don't want to return it, but I might have to.
Has anyone else had this problem of not getting the swing tongue trailer when they should have? Any suggestions in getting SeaDoo to take care of their customers? Thanks for your feedback.

I have seen some of the 210 Challengers without the swing away tongue so I think it just depends which trailer was ordered with that boat by the dealer.
Personally I would think this should be an issue that you need to take up with the dealer rather than SeaDoo. The dealer orders their inventory so if they sold you a boat that was suppose to have a swing away tongue and it doesn't then that is on them rather than SeaDoo.

Welcome to the site and congrats on your new doo. Our 210 Wake has the swing away tongue but we also opted for the galvanized trailer. Is your trailer galvanized or painted?

Kevin,
Thanks for the quick reply. My boat's color is ocean salt (tan) and I was told by the BRP rep that that color boat got a non-swing tongue trailer and the black boat got the swing tongue. This makes no sense to me. Do you recall if the straight tongue 210's you saw were ocean salt? My trailer is painted black.
The trouble is that both BRP and the dealer advertise the length of the boat on the trailer with the swing hitch folded.

Thanks for the info. When you say it will be better than the factory, what did they do to it? I see that Fulton has an aftermarket swing hitch coupling that can be welded or bolted in place. Is that what they did?
BRP finally got back to me and they say they are working on a solution for me..... we'll see.... its been a month now.

I also added the Aerial Freeride wakeboard tower. It wasn't easy -- took me a good day's worth of work to put it all together and hook up the speakers. I am satisfied with the final outcome.

I took the boat out for the first time this week. I got about 100 feet from the dock and the maintenance light came on for both engines. I also noticed a significant vibration and noise coming from the port engine. I stopped and started each engine and still the noise/vibration didn't go away. After I got it home I thoroughly checked for debris in the jet and there was nothing. Today, I took it to the dealer (2 hr away) and he cleared the maintenance light (not sure why it came on)and checked out the engines. He found nothing, but suggested that I go through the break-in period and see if the noise/vibration subsides. Not exactly a comforting feeling.
This is my third jet boat. I love the fun and safety it provides my family. I sure hope I don't regret this purchase.

I am thinking about adding the Fulton hinge. Did you have to do anything special with the brake lines?
