I just traded my 180 challenger for a 2011 210SP and took it out for the first time today. In the 2 hours I put on the engines the right engine would periodically beep with the engine light and disappear. It would do that at idle or with the engine actually off. It did not do it whie cruising and it did it only 3 times in the 2 hour period. The book doesn't say much and I had the 215 engine on my watercraft and never had an issue. Before I take it back to the dealer I was wondering if anyone has some troubleshooting ideas. Thanks!!

Congrats on the new 210SP, it is a sharp looking boat! Post some pictures up if you can. As far as the check engine light, I know it is a brand new boat but have you checked with your dealer to see if any service campaigns are outstanding for your boat?
The reason I ask is because when we bought our 210 Wake new, it had three service campaigns that had not been completed yet, http://seadoosportbo...ns-on-210-wake/. I hope these service campaigns would have already been resolved from the 2010 210 to the 2011 210 but it is worth checking for sure.
If they do apply I believe the U1301 fault could be causing the check engine light.

Plugged it in and it was a software issue...the engines were not communicating with each other...problem hopefully corrected!!

Yeah that sounds like part of the U1301 fault issue, but in the 2010's there was actually a part needed to correct this on top of the software update.
Now how about some pics of the new boat?

There are two ways to add pictures, first to a post or posting to the Gallery. If you want to add them to a post make sure you are using the "full editor" rather than the "fast reply" option. The "fast reply" will not give the option to upload pictures. You can click the "add reply" button or use the "full editor" button in the fast reply to have the option of uploading pictures.
In the "full editor" you should see this option:
Screen shot 2011-04-15 at 6.35.21 PM.png 34.15KB 4 downloads
Once it has been uploaded you can click the "add to post" link:
Screen shot 2011-04-15 at 6.35.46 PM.png 19.98KB 4 downloads
Your reply should look like this when the pics have been added:
Screen shot 2011-04-15 at 6.36.40 PM.png 56.93KB 1 downloads
The second option is to create a user gallery which can be done here, http://seadoosportbo...user-galleries/
Hopefully this helps, let us know if you have any additional questions.

What do you mean by "plugged it in"? I just had my Sp210 in the water for the 2nd time, and it flashed the same check engine light on the starboard engine also. Only did it once in 3 hrs, but at idle also, right after start up. How do I fix it myself, or do I need to take it in?

It is a computer issue on the 210's, many are having this issue still after the U1301 fix I mentioned.
I was told SeaDoo is working a fix and they hope to have a software update in the near future to resolve it. Once they release it you will need to take it to a dealer so they can plug it in and perform the update.
