I have a 1999 Speedster SK and the steering is starting to bind. I am hoping it is just the helm assembly and needs to be greased but could it be the steering cable? Any suggestions on which one it could be or how to check? Thanks!

My first guess would be the steering cable itself. Many times it is the steering cable that causes these type of problems. It could need adjusting or even replaced. Try taking a look at some of the other steering cable posts to see if they shed any light.
