Hey guys i just bought a 97 seadoo speedster it has very low hours on it and has not been used in at least the past two years i have gotten everything working on the boat except the engines are the idleing well when i back the sticks all the way back the engines cut out. i think the cause of this could be the fuel in it is two years old and is low. Have any of you had a problem like this and do you think the carbs need to be rebuilt for it to idle well. The last thing is my steering is frozen i have disconnected the steering cable and by hand can move the jets back and forwith. Therefore i think the cable is my problem does anyone have any ideas about to free it up.

Welcome to the site. Yeah sounds like you might have some bad gas, I would try some new gas before you think it is the carbs. Put some premium in there and then see how it runs. As far as the steering cable take a look at this post, http://seadoosportbo...steering-cable/. Keep us posted.

The steering cable is probably seized, you will need to replace it.

The cable is either froze up or stretched out. Try pulling the cable and see what it does.
