2000 speedsteer

I have a 2000 speedster. I tried to take it out last weekend would not start. It turns over fine and trys to start. Its acts like the its flooding out. any help i would be greatfull.

no not yet but will thay are only 4 or 5 hrs old.Hello all.

had the same problem, with my 2002 speedster with the 240 efi, i found that if i tried starting the engine it would roll but not catch. after a lot of trouble with dealers and repair shops to no advail, i found that if you turn the key on and wait 3 or 4 seconds for the fuel pump to pressurize the system then turn key to start it would start every time, but if you turn key on wait then turn key off then back on this would flood the engine, now you have to remove plugs, rotate engine to get gas out, let sit for 30 minutes, put clean plugs back in and then start. dealers and repair shops here in southern ontario had no clue what to do to fix start problem, very frustrating with our short summers (4 mounths). good luckHello all.
