I just got back last night from the Boston Boat Expo (the first day of it). My wife and son (12) and daughter (8) spent lots of time with Kari Sullivan of Billerica Motorsports - the biggest Sea Doo specialist in the Northeast. By the time we left we had put down a deposit on a black 210 Challenger SE 430hp from 2010 (brand new, still shrink-wrapped from the factory). We couldn't be more excited. Of course it is going to be at least 1 1/2 months before there is any thawed body of water around here. I've been watching the 210 Challengers with obsession since early last summer. I've read every review and seen every video on the internet that has anything to do with them. We have a 1995 Sea Doo GTX Jetski since we bought it brand new in 1996 and it still runs perfectly - we are sure to get the yearly winterizing done. We have never had any other boats except for kayaks and canoes. With the excellent quality of our jetski we knew that we only wanted to look at Sea Doo for a quality boat. I was surprised to hear that Billerica Motorsports has sold 310hp 210 Challengers 90% of the time and only 10% have been 430hp models. I have heard from another dealer that the 430hp is the only one they will sell because the 310hp one is "underpowered". I don't really believe this but we went with the 430hp so that we won't have any power deficiencies when we have multiple friends/family along and we want to pull a slalom skier like me (225lbs).

Sweet boat. I'd like to see some pics. Did they make you a good deal since it was a 2010?

$5000 off to get the older model. We could have opted for the 2011 model with the 310hp for the same price as the 2010 model with the 430hp. These are the "boat show prices". We also get the Sea Doo 3.9% finance rate.

congratulations on the new purchase..... I bought mine last year, and to be honest with you its killing me with excitement to get back out and open the throttle up and let her go.

Sounds as though you are familiar with the characteristics of the jet so you wont have to much of a learning curve there. read up diligently on your ITC throttle and the many options on the ramp settings for towing.. anybody can do it then and you get to enjoy consistent pulls and speeds etc... its impressive.

My son and I are going crazy with anticipation as we await the spring thaw and the chance to pick up our new boat. I asked the dealer to send us a pic of what it looks like now even though it has the factory cover on it still. Here it is...


Have you guys been keeping the factory cover that comes with a new Sea Doo and using it? I haven't seen it in person yet but it looks decent. I suppose it would start to come apart on the highway after a while since I don't see any vents that would suck the cover to the boat to prevent flapping.

I would use the factory cover till it falls apart or sell it now while it is new and buy a Poppy cover. They are much much better. I had an OEM Sea Doo cover and it was a piece of garbage. I threw it away after I got the Poppy cover. There is a night and day difference in quality. I only tow the boat covered. It fits like a glove. I tow my boat about 300 miles round trip several times a year and the cover hasnt had a single problem yet.

It's still cold and often rainy around here but on the dryer days we're already getting our new 210 Challenger SE warmed up for the coming summer!

Just picked up my boat last Friday, 2010 210 Challenger (310hp) from Billerica Motorsports. Also purchased @ the Boston Boat Show in February. Hopefully will get it in the water this weekend after I finish assembling my lift. Good luck with the new boat!!
