I have a 1997 Speedster and I have seen the threads about converting the carbon drive shaft carriers to bearings. My question is I can do this conversion to my boat and if so HOW?

Yes I did it this past summer with the link posted above. Make sure you put good clear packing tape on the c-clip cut out on the shaft before sliding it threw the carrier. Also First put the shaft in with no carrier so you can hold the carrier and rubber hose next to the shaft to determine the length of the hose to cut.

Also remember to grease it or it could seize up. I got a 95 gts for free that ran great after I changed the seized carrier has not been started since 05 fired right up even with the old gas.
