In effort to do something a little different around here and promote some fun during the off-season, we have decided to launch a "Post for Fun" contest. Typically when we run contests we ask for "constructive posts" in order to keep discussions on topic and relevant with the website’s content. With the "Post for Fun" contest we would like to leverage our "Off-topic" section of the forum, http://seadoosportbo...m/75-off-topic/, for this very reason, everything off-topic. This could be a number of discussions such as:

Games (http://seadoosportbo...sociation-game/)
Trivia (http://seadoosportbo...7-just-for-fun/)
Off-season hobbies and activities (http://seadoosportbo...966-off-season/)
Bloopers and other funny stuff (http://seadoosportbo...sport-bloopers/)

These are just a few examples, we ask everyone to be creative in what you come up with for the "Off-topic" discussions – we just ask it to remain PG-13. The goal here is to get more of us accustomed to using the features of the website and remain actively engaged in discussions throughout the entire year.

Now you are wondering what’s in it for me, right? Well we will be running this contest during the off-season so we will run the tally of the posts count, October 1, 2010 through March 31, 2011 – the single member with the most cumulative posts started over 1000 individual posts during this timeframe will win a SDSB Flip MinoHD camcorder, http://www.cafepress.../sdsb.426911435, to shoot some footage of your boat in action next season.

For example, if you currently have 2000 total posts starting today on October 4, 2010, you will need at least 3001 total posts by March 31, 2011 to be eligible to win.

O/T is usally the busiest section of any other forum that I'm involved with. Certainly it is under-utilized here. Good on the SDSB Team to take the initiative here! :clapping:

That is a lot of posting! A person would need to average 8.5 posts per day for the next 6 months just to be eligible! Today is day 4 and I'm already 33 off the pace!!!

Stephen we have adjusted the contest rules to be a total 1000 posts rather 1500 during the allotted timeframe, after all we want someone to win! I know you can do it, you have a good track record with previous contests! :thumbup1:

Well here are the stats thus far, October 2010 - January 2011. At this point no one is really even close to the 1000 individual posts, but we still have the remainder of February and March. I guess no one really wants a free camera? :whistling1:
