I have a 1998 Seadoo Sportster 1800 and The engine behind driver seat won't start. I have put gas treatment in tank and changed spark plugs. Can anyone please give me details of what to do next and where to start please.

What other symptoms are you experiencing? When did it stop working? The more info you can provide, the easier it will be to troubleshoot.

It was choking down alot for awhile, then I put gas treatment in which helped for a few days, now it won't start at all. It turns over but no start.

Sounds like you may have a fuel filter plugged. Now would be a good time to locate all fuel filters and change them. Let us know if this fixes it. Good luck.

Do I need to siphon gas out first or can I clamp lines when I take filters off?

I change mine every year and have never siphoned the gas. Use a clamp if you want, but it may not even be necessary to do that. Just make sure you put something under to catch any that might spill and do not reuse.

Can I leave boat in water to check filters? I don't mean to sound lazy but last time I put boat in water in July, I slipped and bruised my leg and still have knots on my shin so I just leave it in the water at my dock.

It should not be a problem. You will need to lake test it anyway to see if this fixes it, so go for it!

Decided to try to crank it one more time before taking fuel line filters off to check them and it started up. I drove it around some in my cove and it seemed to be fine. Thanks for the advice, if it does it again I will check filters.

Sounds like your gas treatment might have helped. I use SeaFoam in all my toys. What brand are you using?
