It was choking down alot for awhile, then I put gas treatment in which helped for a few days, now it won't start at all. It turns over but no start. What other symptoms are you experiencing? When did it stop working? The more info you can provide, the easier it will be to troubleshoot.

Can I leave boat in water to check filters? I don't mean to sound lazy but last time I put boat in water in July, I slipped and bruised my leg and still have knots on my shin so I just leave it in the water at my dock.I change mine every year and have never siphoned the gas. Use a clamp if you want, but it may not even be necessary to do that. Just make sure you put something under to catch any that might spill and do not reuse.
