I just picked up a 2008 speedster 215hp. I had it for a test drive yesterday morning and all was well. I took it out again later that same day and the dess would not be picked up by the boat. The lights, pump and radio all work fine. Any insight would be helpful.
Thanks
DESS Problem

It could just be a bad connection, were you able to get it working by removing it and re-attaching?

It was the DESS post. Have you heard of this before as being a problem?

Normally the biggest problem with DESS cords is people losing them. So what did the new DESS lanyard switch cost?

Well that's not terrible I suppose. With any boat/powersports parts you never know what the price is going to be like. The DESS post cost $104 plus labor.
