I noticed yesterday after getting back to the dock from about 3 hours on the very rough water, that the coolant level in the bottle was all the way at the top, almost full. Before we went out it was between the lines as it should be (closer to max however). Any reason why this happened? Any ideas?

I am guessing there could of been some in the line that filled back in the tank after running the boat. Did you check it again after the engine cooled down?

The coolant level never went back down after the engine cooled off. We even went back out on the boat and it still didnt decrease. Should I remove some of it so it can be between the recommended levels on the bottle?

Yeah I would recommend getting it back to normal levels to prevent any from spilling out. Keep us posted if you still experience issues with this.

I just got my boat last week and took it out this weekend. I had the opposite problem. After 2 hours on the engine I came back to dock and the coolant tank was EMPTY (was at Min when we started). The dealer said it was probably due to air bubbles in the line. I filled it back up to midway, but am a little worried. As I am breaking it in, I didn't take it above 75% on the throttle, but it topped out at ~30 with 50% power and never increased at 75%. Again, dealer said, I wouldn't see much difference until I went to max power and the intercooler kicked in.

For some reason, those answers just don't feel right. Any thoughts?

The coolant level dropping in the make-up tank on a new boat due to some air working it's way through the cooling system is very possible. It might even do it several times. As to the power delivery, it is hard to say without being in the boat, but I would give it time to break-in and then pass judgement once you can use all the throttle available.

Second trip, filled it halfway between the lines and checked after 20 min in the water. Level was a bit higher, but still between the lines. One problem solved. Thanks all
