We paid the good folks and headed for Lake Thurmond (north of Augusta, GA). We put it in the water, the motor fired off, and away we went. And for the next 6 hours........
WE HAD A BLAST!!

I was a bit disappointed in the storage capicity of the boat. Having never seen a 160 in person, I was thinking there would be more storage space under the motor cover. Little did I realize just how big a Merc V6 powerhead is. Oh well, it just means we'll have to get creative with not only storage, but finding a place for a depth sounder. Man - what were SeaDoo designers thinking when they designed the instrument and passenger dash panels??
My only other nit pik is the porpoising at speed. This boat needs a trim system bad. Looks like a Place Diverter or similiar system is in my future.
Overall, the wife & I love the boat. We both wanted to get back on the water, but didn't wanna spend a bunch of money seeings how we just bought a new house 8 months ago. And it needed to be something small enough to put in the garage, yet big enough that we didn't feel cramped or grow tired of the size in 2 or 3 years. It handles relatively well (I think the steering needs adjusting 'cause it pulls to the right), it's comfortable, it's damn fast, and it even has a decent radio/CD!!

Alright....now where did I put that Boater's World catalog?
