First time in water with boat. Get the 4 beeps (not in neutral ) although in neutral, unless I push to reverse then back to N.

Also, when started and in N, it actually moves very fast! Too fast.

Thought it was idle high (what should idle be at N?) but with 4 beeps, maybe shifter needs adjusting along with N sensor?

Also, in N, whenoving I can see jet flowing, if Move it slightly lower (towards R) jet flow stops and really in N.

Finally...can I easily fix or just have dealer do it?

With beep codes, I typically recommend letting the dealer diagnose it so you are sure to address the correct problem. Keep us posted on what you find out.

Hard to shift in general, think need new cables or can it be lubricated?

Definitely could be a cable issue, they can be adjusted. If they look like they can't be adjusted to your satisfaction then it may be time for new ones.

They said they lubricated as well as possible and operating normally. I think they are right/hard to move...but this is all new to me.

They did not tell me anything about positioning. Can someone confirm that when shifter in neutral the boat should not beocong forward or back? When you shift from F to N or R to N that it still operates the same...not moving.

My boat seems to move pretty quick in water when in N and have to force to less than N which is aggravating since N seems to be an easy fall into position, not between
N and R

My 09 challenger 180se does the same in neutral. I think it is normal in jet boats for that to happen since the engine is running it has to force water through the intake to cool it.

I have a 2003 Utopia 185 and it gives me 4 long beeps every 5 minutes. I cant find any info.
