We were out on the lake just cruising along at about 6000rpm when all of a sudden we lost thrust, the boat started to vibrate and shimmy shake, and it made a screaming noise of like a bearing being spun out... so I killed the throttle, cleared the ICS, but still had to limp back to the dock at under 3000rpm to keep the vibrations to a minimum and from making that noise... Back at the dock I cleared the ICS again and shut the boat down as it was now to late to dive under the boat and see anything, the next morning I checked the inlet and impeller and found nothing, took the boat out for a test and no more noise, vibrations, no nothing like it never happened... She performed flawlessly all the way through 8000rpm's... Any ideas what it my have been other then possibly garbage blocking the inlet until I shut down the engine?
Drive Shaft bearings, wear ring, impeller?

It sounds like you had something stuck in there which was causing the problem, might have cleared itself out when you took the boat out of the water. If the boat is performing okay then I would say it should be okay but just keep an eye on it.
