I've got a locking support that's stuck in the 1/2 way up position. I cannot lie the seat down flat and cannot really get it up all the way either. Anyone know if these supports can be taken apart and rebuilt or am I looking at a ~$200 locking support purchase (p/n 204610749)? Are there any cheaper alternatives to the factory part? Thanks.

I don't know much about this part but I would assume anything has the possibility of being taken apart and rebuilt, just depends if you want to take the risk. I guess in your case there isn't much to lose since either you will fix it or make it even worse. It would be up to you to decide if you want to attempt the repair or just go ahead to buy the new part. Either way worse case scenario you are buying a new part.

Keep us posted if you attempt to fix it or hopefully someone else will chime in who has had this happen before.
