Looking for some help with a hawk eye D10 depth finder; I tried various places in the hull and wasn't happy with the readings so I transom mounted the transducer and now all I am getting is '---' on the display, even when just floating in the water. I mounted the transducer to the left of the speedo and pretty sure I followed the instructions to the letter however still no luck. Any of you have any experience with this model? Suggestions??

Unrelated, hydro turf came in last night so I know what I am doing Friday night!

Mine was working fine last year, but this year it was showing "--" the first time I took it out. Patrick at NorCross Marine said they experienced some issues with the previous model and assured me that the new model has resolved the problem. The replacement they sent me last week is a model D10DX and is a four wire tranducer cable compared to the five wire of the old model. He said that the display would also need to be changed to work with the new tranducer, so he sent me the entire new kit at no charge.
