Hello from Minnesota! I'm a complete newb to owning any watercraft period. Looking to purchase one sometime but want to know whats good and bad, what to look for, registration, insurance, license, storage, and all that jazz. I'm looking for a small jet boat to carry a few passengers and can be towed by a small suv or maybe even a ford ranger! I'm coming over from being a DIY auto enthusiast. I currently own a 1995 Eagle Talon TSi that has been a project for me for over a year and am ready to let go and have some fun in the summers of Minnesota. I used to own a sport bike, 2002 Suzuki GSXR 600 telefonica. I also am training to become a private pilot but have since put that on hold for other hobbies. I've been on the water a few times but never have piloted a watercraft. I'm looking for a seadoo jet boat because of their sleek design and it just looks like plain fun! So if you guys can help answer some questions and help me out, that'd be great! Thanks!

If you are looking for something to pull behind a Ford Ranger I would look for a 2000 - 2003 160 Speedster, these are great boats with a powerful 240hp Merc V6! We use to have one before our 180 Challenger and that thing was a rocket on the water. If you are looking on getting an insurance quote before making a purchase you can do that through Boat U.S.
