If anyone with a 2007 and down speedster 150 scic is looking for a cool air intake. I have a possible solution.
I have reseached the parts, and for about $258 you can retrofit the 2008 and up K/N style intake.
This includes the intake pipe, filter, and bracket. There is a slight mod that has to be done to mount the voltage regulator to the intake pipe. Other than that it should just bolt up. I will hopefully find out next week. I will see if it gives me any increase in rpms.
I like mods that look like they were supposed to be there, thats why i went with OE parts. I'm just chasing 1mph at time.

I just got the call, the parts are in. I hope to do this mod some time next week.
I will take some pics, and post them.

Just an update, all the parts fit like it came from the factoy.
I went out for a short ride, but left my gps at home. The boat is a little faster and revs higher.
Old intake 7800 rpm, gps 54. New intake 8130 rpm, not sure of speed.
I will take pics of the install next week and try to get the new gps number.

Hello,

 

i have a quick question, how did your regulator rectifier fit? did you cut through the mount?

 

im planning to get the same intake of the 2008 model for my speedster 150 2007, please let me know how you manag to install the regulator / rectifier in its place
