After a high recommendation from a salesman at my local auto parts store, I waxed my entire boat with this product last weekend. The thing that really sold me was on the back of the can it said "On both fiberglass and metal boats, Liquid Glass retards barnacles, algae, and salt water erosion and reduces bottom friction." It went on very easy and I am very pleased with the result. It also says the the greater number of coats, the greater the protection so I am probably going to do the entire boat again soon. The water really beads up on it and it seemed to stay clean even in a very muddy lake. I am no expert on wax, but I have tried several different kinds and so far this seems to be my new favorite.

Thanks for the product review, I will have to pick some of this up and give it a try. How often do you think we should wax our boats with this stuff?

Just going off the label if this is a "polish" it will be "removing" material
to get that nice finish, usually you would only use polish to bring the finish
back to new, then "seal" the nice finish with a good wax, and then just wax until
the finish needs renewing since there is only so much material you can remove...
I'm sure it's a great product I just wanted to give a heads up on polishes.

Unlike most polishes, this product actually recommends numerous coats. The warranty on the side of the can states:

Liquid Glass carries a life-time warranty that the vehicle will resist the elements and usual atmospheric and road hazards such as dirt, dust, oil, grease, stains, etc., with a minimum of an initial 2 coats of Liquid Glass properly applied and with periodic reapplications. However, the more coats applied, the deeper, richer and better protected the vehicle becomes.

I had just enough in my original can to do my fiberglass shower walls twice (I did not do the floor since I'm afraid it would make it way too slippery). I don't know how its going to hold up long term, but so far I love this stuff!

Great news! Do you have any pics of your boat after you polished it with this stuff that you can share?

X-20- did it have any effect on the decals,I don`t touch mine with anything other then soap and water.

It was taking off old glue from previous registration numbers, so I didn't dare use it on the decals. Sorry, I should have mentioned that in my review.

That looks great, you can definitely tell it worked with all the water beaded up - nice stuff!

I use the liquid glass for washing my boat. There is a really good polish also called rolite. It works really well also. Unfortunately we sold out of the Liquid glass polish before I had the chance to use it. Looks like it worked well in your pic.
