In order to go straight, I need to turn the top of the wheel to at least 2 o'clock and hold it there. A mechanic at the local sea-doo shop recommended that I just adjust my steering wheel, but I do not think that will help. Even at idle speed it wants to turn left. Any ideas?
Thank you,

Sounds like your steering cables need to be adjusted or replaced.

I did a quick review of the shop manual and could not find anything about steering cable adjustments. Any idea where I can find more information on this topic? The local sea-doo shop was not any help at all. Everyone there seems scared of my boat since it has a Mercury engine in it. When I take it to the Mercury dealer, they "do not work on waverunners." I did not know this hybrid would be this difficult to get serviced so I am taking it upon myself to do my own service work. Thanks to this board, it has been much easier. If there is not an adjustment, does anyone know the part number of the replacement cables?
Thanks again,

Give these two posts a try, hopefully they will provide more insight:

If you need to get a replacement steering cable, try World of Powersports, http://www.worldofpo...eadoosportboats.

I read the posts and I don't seem to have the exact same symptoms. I can turn at high speeds, although it will cut sharper to the left than right. I held onto the pump while someone was turning the wheel and I have good tension. I hate to install another steering cable if that my not be the issue. Any other ideas before I bite the bullet and buy one to try?

I would also check that the nozzle in moving freely and the same amount in both directions.

I did the coarse steering adjustment which helped my issue of not being able to turn sharp to the right. I actually adjusted it too far which made me not be able to turn sharp to the left. I have since adjusted back about halfway and it turns both ways fine.....however it still pulls hard to the left. I checked the nozzle and it turns freely with full tension both directions.

It is quite normal for these boats to pull harder one way or the other, I don't the exact logic behind it but I know our 160 Speedster did something similar. When we were driving straight the steering wheel always had to be slightly turned to the left to maintain a straight line.
