Hello guys,
I just bought a 97 challenger and took it to the lake. It ran great for awhile and then all the sudden the left motor wasnt doing anything. Its running but seems to be stuck in reverse. When I finally got back on the trailer and got it out of the water it seems to be missing some sort of linkage possibly? Forward neutral reverse only works the right side motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. this is my first boat and cant find a good manual or pictures of what I might be missing. If you have a manual that would be great as well. modifiedoftulsa@yahoo.com is my email
Thanks
Duane

Duane,
This manual, http://seadoosportbo...00-shop-manual/, is for a 1998 Challenger 1800 but I believe it should do the trick for you.

The previous owner might have made some adjustments and forgot to tighten something up.These manuals are easy to follow, should be easy to figure out whats wrong, simple system. Good luck
