My 97 challenger (single) compression is running at 130psi on both cylinder, when is the correct time to consider a top end rebuild.A know it all at work says its hard on the crank and should be repaired soon or risk a complete rebuild.Runs great as is,any thought.

I would say the correct time varies by boat. That is a great setup you got there!

Hi!!
are all 4 cylinders the same compression?? 130psi is a low reading, my 787s are stock and have almost 160 on each and 30psi difference is a big one verify all 4 cylinders and if the compression is 130 I will suggest you refresh your top end with new pistons and a cylinder bore to next size.but that is only my opinion as refreshing your top ends is a little costly(close to 350.00 or more)for both engines without the boring costs.
by the way nice photo!!
